Betty C. Hoffman, born November 16, 1931, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Annalyne "Burton" Paul and Percy S. Paul Sr. passed away in Houston, Texas, Thursday April 10, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Betty graduated from Smith Cotton High School, where she met and married the love of her life Karl Howard Hoffman Jr.. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and QT Sororities where she formed many lifelong friendships. Betty spent her life as a dedicated "Stay at Home Mother" raising three children and supported Karl, her husband of 60 years pursue his life career at Montgomery Ward & Co. Their life together would take them on a journey through 10 cities and 5 states. Betty made many friends and developed culinary cooking skills  in the local cuisines. Betty loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. Spelling was not her strong suit and she may have had difficulty spelling cuisine, but she certainly knew her way around the kitchen where she was a Five Star Chef and Master Baker, titles proclaimed and anointed by family and friends.  Betty's dining table always promised a special feast.

She loved hosting dinner parties for family and friends and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, doll making and quilting. She became a master of all four trades. Betty took special pride in the quilts she made for her grandchildren.

Betty's home was a welcoming place for her children's friends, it became a meeting place and many considered her to be a second Mom.

Betty was the foundation, confidant, counselor, mediator, and source of unconditional love for her  family. Betty will be missed but her memories fill our hearts forever. Betty's cuisine will reign in a family cookbook where her recipes will be made for generations to come.

The family would like to give a special heartfelt "Thank you" to all the special people, nurses and aides that showed their love and care for our Mother.

A graveside service will be held at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery, Sedalia Missouri at a future date.
