BETTY ANN GUSMERI May 26, 1931 ~ May 7, 2018 Betty Gusmeri, beloved mother and rock of the Gusmeri family, passed in peace in the presence of her children Mary Young, Joseph Gusmeri, and Eddie Young at the Young household in Houston, Texas. Betty was born in Evanston Illinois and later moved to Sweetwater Tennessee resided in California, Texas, and Arizona. After graduating with degrees in art she spent her early career in advertising, then after staying home with her children, continued with a career in education providing services for children with special needs.  Betty is best remembered by her family for her extraordinary sense of humor, nurturing and giving spirit, and a strong will that she kept with her always.  She is preceded in death by her Sister Marlyn Thayer, mother and father Fannie and Arlen Wilson, and her awaiting husband Valentine Gusmeri.  She leaves to this earth two children, Mary Young and Joseph W Gusmeri, and son in law Eddie Young. She also leaves six grandchildren, Garrett, Rachel, Joseph, Marshall, Krista, Dominique and three great grandchildren Brayden, Harley, and Benjamin and a loving family of bonus children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
