She was the daughter of Samuel Arthur Sims and Johnnie Belle Lackey. Born in Limestone County Texas near Waco, Texas and died in Harris County, Tomball, Texas. Bettie was the oldest child out of 5 siblings.
Preceded in death by husband Charles E. Durow, Sr. She has 4 living children and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was loved by all.
