Bettie Swan Latham Higginbotham

August 17, 1933 – October 2, 2019

Bettie Swan Latham Higginbotham of Tomball, Texas passed away October 2, 2019.  Born August 17, 1933 in Taylor, Texas to Bettie Belle and George Alexander Latham. Swanee graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in English and married Theron Dale Higginbotham, Sr. July 16, 1953.  Together they raised four children in Port Arthur, Texas:   Holly Pickett (David) of Houston, Allison Meyer (Marty) of Houston, Theron Dale Higginbotham, Jr (Debbie) of Waxahachie, and Douglas (Elizabeth) of Laurel, Mississippi.  Swanee lived with her husband in Port Arthur, TX, Walnut Creek, CA, Philadelphia, PA, and Corpus Christi, TX before settling in Tomball, TX.

In addition to her four children, Swanee is survived by 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren:  Alexander Pickett, Scott Pickett (Theresa, children Sherry, Annabelle and Ivy),  Laura Matthews (Taylor), Meredith Meyer, Lindsey Meyer, Brooke Ballance (Steven, children Latham and Paige), Daniel Higginbotham (Madison, children Greyson and Myles), Phillip (Jennifer, children  Audrey and Stella), Gregory (Ashley Lewis, child Phoebe), Emily Wu (Eddie, child Evelyn).
