Bette Ann Bergmeier's Obituary
Bette Brown Bergmeier was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 7, 1941. She graduated from Normandy High School, Class of 1959. Bette and Stan Bergmeier were married in 1962, settled in St. Louis, where they raised their only daughter Elizabeth Ann Bergmeier May.
Bette worked for Monsanto Chemical Company early in their marriage for five years. After living in St. Louis for most of their lives, Bette and Stan recently moved to Houston, Texas to be near their daughter Beth and her family. Bette fought a courageous battle against Ovarian Cancer for 3 1/2 years. She joined our Lord the morning of August 18, 2016.
Bette is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin H. Brown, and Annette Beinke Brown. She is survived by her husband Stanley Joseph Bergmeier, daughter Elizabeth Bergmeier May, son in law John Patrick May, granddaughters Christen Elizabeth May and Lindsey Marie May, brother Thomas Erwin Brown, sister in law Barbara Spencer Brown, niece Natalie Brown Massey, great nephew Alexander Kaloyeros, and countless friends in both St. Louis and Houston.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Sunday, August 21st, at 1:00pm at The Conservatory, 8215 Cypresswood, Houston, Texas 77379. The family is planning another service to be held in St. Louis over the Thanksgiving holiday. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation in Bette's honor.
