Betsy was special.  That is simply how the Lord made her.

She was born in Lakewood, Ohio on February 24, 1947.  She was gathered to her Lord Jesus Christ, her family and loved ones in heaven on April 7, 2025.

When Betsy was formed in her mother's womb, the Lord filled her with laughter, music and an exponential love and caring for others that never diminished.  She simply loved the Lord and He loved others through her.  She never ceased to absorb the grief, sorrow and hurting of others.  For many years she went to senior living facilities, playing hymns on the piano for those whose lives had been restricted to ending there.  Their stories of the lack of attention from their families broke her heart.  She would spend days searching for and arranging the music for the old hymns they asked her about.  She said that seeing the twinkle in their eyes when they realized it was one of the hymns, they asked her about and hearing them spontaneously sing the words long kept silent in their minds, filled her with joy.  She gave them hope that someone cared and never ceased to demonstrate how the Lord loves us with her hugs and kind words.

Betsy served the Lord for nearly her entire life and never ceased telling others how important it was for them to spend time learning and living God's word.  She would tell them to not take their belief for granted. With her music and phone, she shared God's word with countless family members, friends and others in the hope they would experience God's light to guide their lived as He had always guided hers.

The Lord led Betsy through many tumultuous events, floods of tears emotions, physical pain and tears; yet He also gave her the happiest and most comforting years of her life- united in marriage as God intended marriage to be - a cord of three strands, husband, wife and Jesus Christ binding their lives together.  That is why she would have wanted you not just to remember her as the incredible unique individual she was but as she was in her must cherished photos, united with another who loved her dearly and wanted nothing more from her than for her to be who God made her to be, herself.  That gave her the freedom to continuable assure others how very blessed they were in the Lord.  It gave her the chance, she once thought she had lost forever - To live and enjoy life with another who loved the Lord and her beyond measure.
