Bernice Trotter Poer went to be with Jesus on September 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lillie Trotter, 4 sisters, and 5 brothers. Most recently, her twin brother Bernard, Uncle Bud. Bernice was born in Belle Prairie, Illinois on December 9,1928. She lived most of her life in Texas working years in banking. She retired from the Texas DMV. Bernice was preceded in death by Carrel G. Hager, husband and father of their 3 daughters. Bernice raised her girls attending Glen Rose Baptist Church. She is survived by those daughters, Pamela Garrett, Marsha Atkinson and husband Irv, and Marla Bridges and husband Steve. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her late husband Stanley T Poer. Although we all will miss pretty "Nonnie " serving up the best Chicken and Dumplings ever, we know that she is strolling over heaven with her Tommy. Of course, perfect make-up, hair, and dress. Singing alto and praising God with all the others gone on before her. Rest well sweet Ms. Bernice..Bernie…Sis…Mom..Nonnie.
