Berdenia Sue Teel, born December 11, 1939, in Paris, Texas, passed away leaving a legacy of love, resilience, and a vibrant spirit.

Sue's early years were marked by profound challenges. At the tender age of two, she faced the sudden loss of her father while her mother was pregnant with her younger brother. Tragedy struck again a few years later when her stepfather passed away unexpectedly, leaving her mother once more expecting, this time with Sue's younger sister. Despite these hardships, Sue's strength and determination became a defining part of her life.  Her life took a joyful turn when she met the love of her life, Charles Henry Teel, a dashing young Air Force man. They married when Sue was just 17, embarking on a journey of love that would have celebrated 68 years this March 2nd. Together, they built a family filled with laughter, love and faith, raising five children who were the light of Sue's life.

Sue's personality could be summed up in her favorite things: leopard print, the sweetness of candy, the warmth of the beach, the joy of family, and the boundless love she had for babies. She was the consummate hostess and life of the party, always ready with a smile and a spirit that embraced the philosophy: "Too much of a good thing is wonderful!"

Sue's legacy is her family and the joy she brought to every moment. Her love for Jesus, her zest for life, and her boundless love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who were fortunate to know her.  Her family invites those who loved Sue to celebrate her remarkable life, one filled with joy, resilience, and love for all things that made life extraordinary.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents: John Beckett and Mabel Stone Stephens, brothers: John Owen Beckett and Jerry Lynn Smith, and daughter: Sherrill Ann Trammell. She is survived by her husband: Charles Henry Teel, sons: Charles Douglas Teel, Brandon Teel with wife Lana, daughters: Sterle Coker with husband Wayne and Shanda Henley with husband Marc,  grandchildren: Heather Gantt with husband Danny, Lindsay Trammell, Nicholas Coker with wife Laine, Hannah Baca with husband Coety, Collin Henley, Ashlynn Henley, Conran Teel, Emma Teel, Phoebe Teel, great-grandchildren: Grayson Dunbar, Kinsey Neatherlin, Kylin Neatherlin, Paige Coker, Lucy Coker and Elle Coker, aunt: Vivian Gibson, sisters: Judy Hicks with husband Donald and Mary Kathryn Stephens, son-in-love: Mike Andrew, as well as countless other treasured family and friends.

Special love and thanks to her treasured caregivers turned family: Marcos and Carla Alvarenga and Melanie Guadron.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at Bayou City Fellowship Cypress, 12715 Telge, Cypress, TX 77429. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Please wear animal print, fur, or just anything "fancy" or "blingy" in her honor.
