Benjamin "Ray" Farrell was born on April 24, 1939 in Kermit, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Farrell and Monnie Bell Collier. He grew up in multiple cities throughout Texas and even out of state. He married Sonja Hazel Featherston on July 12, 1958. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, David and Mary Beth Farrell, Dale and Suzanne Farrell, and Julie Beth and Andrew Lenk. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Joshua Farrell, April Britton, Garrett Danzey, Kylie Baker, Taylor Groves, Alexis Farrell, Rileigh Phillips, Cole Lenk, and Tate Lenk; and five great grandchildren, Kyndall Britton, Bailee Farrell, Cooper Britton, Levi Baker, and Emery Kate BaKer.

Married for over sixty-seven years, together for almost seventy years, Ray and Sonja built a beautiful life together. She was the absolute love of his life! He honored her all the days of his life by keeping Christ first in their marriage, respecting her always, and loving her with his whole heart. Their adoration was a beautiful love story.

Over the course of many decades, Ray served countless people. Sonja, their children and spouses, and all of his grandchildren remained his top priority throughout his life. Additionally, his devotion to his church, where he worshipped for over fifty years, was unmatched. And there was always loyalty to his corporation Hudson Products, where he was proudly employed for almost sixty years. Whether kin, church family, or acquaintances from work, Ray was a man of his word; if he committed to someone or something, he would be present until the work was done.

Ray left this earth in the late hours of September 27, 2025.
