Benjamin Leonard Elliott

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Benjamin Leonard Elliott at the age of 90 in Houston, Texas on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Ben Elliott was born on November 27, 1935, in Calvert, Texas to George and Anna Mae Elliott.  Ben grew up in Calvert and attended Calvert High School and upon graduation went to Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX on a basketball scholarship.

Ben and Nancy met in Houston, TX and enjoyed 69 years and 11 months of marriage.

Ben worked 40 years of his career in sales and management at International Harvester.  He took great pride in his work and built lasting relationships with colleagues.

He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and attending all his children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's sports and extracurricular activities.  Ben will be remembered for his dedication to his wife and family.  Ben loved the outdoors, barbequing, traveling, and family time.

Ben is survived by his wife Nancy, and their sons, Mike, Mark and Matt.  His daughters-in-law, Sheila, Lisa and Mendie, eight grandchildren and their spouses, and eight great-grandchildren.  Ben was preceded in death by his parents George and Anna Mae Elliott, and sister, Sharon and brother-in-law, Joe Kreps.

Ben, lovingly named "Pops" by his grandchildren will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
