In Loving Memory of Beatrice “Bea” de Luna Ahrendt
Beatrice “Bea” de Luna Ahrendt, 86, of Tomball, Texas, passed away on October 23, 2026, at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Bea was born in Lyford, Texas, to Maurilia Torres de Luna and Reymundo de Luna and was raised in Raymondville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ret. LTC Allen Arthur Ahrendt, who passed away on November 23, 1984, as well as her parents and brothers, Rojelio de Luna and Raul de Luna.
Bea was a loving and devoted mother to her three children: Stacey L. Ahrendt (Dirk); Carl E. Ahrendt (Heather); and Jason A. Ahrendt (Lauren). She was also an extremely proud grandmother to Christian S. Cortes, Connor S. Cortes, Molly A. Ahrendt, Victoria A. Ahrendt, and Catherine T. Ahrendt, Tristan Lee and Taylor Lee. She leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless treasured friends who became family along the way.
Above all else, Bea loved her family fiercely. She was loving, strong, outspoken, generous, a deeply faithful Catholic, and never shy about letting her children and grandchildren know just how proud she was of them. She loved deeply, spoke honestly, and lived life unmistakably on her own terms.
Bea loved her Tejano music, Polkas, Country and if the music was playing, chances were she was ready to dance. She could spend hours listening to music, sharing memories, telling stories, and reminiscing about the people and moments that filled her 86 years.
She was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, and those who knew Bea knew better than to make fun of her Cowboys. Her favorite sports pride extended to her family and her children and grandchildren who were Texas A&M University Aggies.
Bea was an excellent cook, and some of the family's most cherished memories were created around her table. Her Mexican cooking was made with the same love and generosity her mom gave to her family, and her famous tortillas will be especially missed. Those recipes, meals, and traditions were about more than food. They were Bea's way of bringing people together and caring for the people she loved.
Her family will carry those traditions forward: the music, the dancing, the stories, the faith, the food, the laughter, the fierce love of family, and of course, cheering for the Cowboys. And in the years ahead, whenever one of us says or does something that reminds us of her, we know someone will smile and say, “That was just like Mom-Grandma.”
Bea leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured simply by the number of years she lived, but by the love she gave, the family she raised, the friendships she treasured, and the memories she leaves in the hearts of everyone who loved her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Rest eternally, peaceful, Mom. We love you.
