Barry Ross Miller, born on May 4, 1951 in Langdale, Alabama, to the late Mary Earnest Finch Miller and the late Frank Oliver Miller, passed away at age 66 on April 21, 2018 in Houston. He graduated from Valley High School in Valley, Alabama, where he spent a great deal of his childhood. He also spent much of his childhood in Texas, where he remained after meeting his love, Karen Sue Yoder Miller, on Surfside Beach in 1972. They married in 1973 and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2018.

He was an extremely skilled carpenter, who appreciated honest hard work and was a true master of his craft. He was a loyal member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Millwrights of Houston Local 551 since joining on May 26,1976 and served as a member of the executive board for 25 years. Barry was employed by D & L Precision Construction for the past 20 years.

Barry was preceded in death by his brothers, Frankie Darryl Miller and Randall Phillip Miller. Barry is survived by his wife, Karen; his son, Brandon Ross Miller and wife, Tiffany; daughters Meghan Ann Miller and husband Jeff,  Mary Katelin Anderson and husband Scott; twin brother, Larry Ray Miller and wife, Linda; sisters, Carol Ann Benefield and husband Walter and Terri Lynn Mello and husband Scott; and his sister-in-law, Roberta Miller. He was very, very close to his many nieces and nephews. Barry had four grandchildren whom he adored; Bowen Ross Miller, Parker Grace Anderson, Barrett Morgan Anderson and Bennett Ruth Miller.

Barry enjoyed spending weekends at his lake home in South Toledo Bend, playing with his grandchildren, fishing, grilling for his friends and family, reading, and of course, watching and talking about college football.

Friends and family are invited to attend his 'Celebration of Life' on Friday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the  Klein Funeral Home Chapel, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, Texas, 77065 .
