Barry was a longtime employee of Hewlett Packard formerly Compaq formerly Tandem Computers, having been employed by them for over 30 years.

He was born on January 21st 1947 which was the beginning of one of the longest and hardest Winters in the UK with snowfalls up to 21 feet, lasting until March 1947.

He attended Leeds Grammar School where he was introduced to his beloved game of Rugby. He spent many years both playing and watching the game regardless of who was playing.

He joined the Royal Signals Regiment of the British Army in 1967 rose through the ranks to Sergeant and spent 12 years in service leaving in 1979. He then joined Saudi Arabian Airlines as a Ground Technician until 1988 when he joined Tandem Computers and returned to the UK.

Barry was a well-liked colleague and friend and highly respected by all who came in contact with him. He always had a story to tell and could entertain for hours with tales of his Army and Saudi Arabian adventures.

Barry leaves behind his wife Pauline, his three children, Elaine Baldwin and her husband Steve, Christopher Edwards and his wife Elizabeth and his son Mikael Barry and partner Sarah. Grandchildren Samantha and her husband Dave Berry, Glenn Baldwin and his wife Danielle, Josh Edwards, Abigail Cottrell and Jacob Edwards. He also leaves five great grand-daughters, Bethany, Hannah, Freya, Mia and Sienna. As well as is sister, Iris Ellis, his neice Kay Newton and his nephew Ian Ellis.  He loved them all dearly.

Funeral services are scheduled for 9a.m. Viewing and 10a.m. service at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball with cremation thereafter.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in Barry's name to The American Heart Foundation
