Barbara was surrounded by a large family that she was so proud of. Barbara was a mother, grandmother, a great-grandmother, and a great-great-grandmother.

Barbara was born to be an accountant and that was her life's work. She was such a natural that she had a chart of accounts for her allowance at the age of seven!

Barbara was a very hard worker her entire life. Even after retirement she worked part-time at a real estate company helping with their books up until age 85. For a time she crafted jewelry with her best friend and they sold their jewelry at craft shows all around Houston as well as small surrounding towns. She was never a slacker.

Barbara attended Bible College in her 70's and received her Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies at the ripe age of 80! She was so very proud of that accomplishment. It was a proud moment seeing her in her cap and gown!

Barbara's main passion was the Lord. She supported many ministries and one she was particularly proud of was sponsoring a child in the Dominican Republic. She was able to travel and visit one Christmas to pass out Christmas presents and tour the Children's Home.

Barbara was a natural on the computer and put those skills to work for the Church. She edited and posted sermons to Facebook weekly. She taught Vacation Bible School and Children's Church until she was unable to get around well. She burned CD's of sermons and passed them out to anyone that signed up for one on the signup sheet at church. She also burned series of sermons and shared with family and friends. Anything to spread the word of the Lord! Barbara printed all of the fliers advertising the many activities the Church held year-round. You would see printed name tags hanging on a rod in the dining room that she made for the kids to wear. She was a talented photographer and would take pictures and then pin them to whiteboards so the children could see themselves having fun at events. Barbara was the happiest doing work for the Lord. There is so much more that Barbara did that I am unable to list everything but it was natural for her to jump in and help in every way and she had many talents to lend to the tasks that needed to be done.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Gary von Rosenberg, her brother Walter Timmerman, her sister Dorothy Timmerman, her grandson Adam Ryan Sherrill, and great-granddaughter McKenna Grace Dodd.

She is survived by a son Paul Duke and wife Dee of Houston, a daughter Dolores West and husband Dennis of New Mexico, a daughter Kim Laursen of Washington. Grandchildren Randi Dodd and husband Jamie of Bastrop, Lori Melcher and husband Trey of Giddings, Kym Means of Houston, Keith Duke and wife Brittany of Houston, Jamie Manning and husband Josh of Houston, Doug Tyler of Washington, Tristian French and husband Kristopher of Houston. Great grandchildren Ryan Melcher, Caedon Melcher, Kyler Hardy, Loryn Hardy, Abigayle Hardy, Curtis Dodd, Kaitlyn Dodd, Mason Gregg, Ambur Hamilton, Meghyn Means, Chase Means, Lily Manning, Skylar Manning, Christian Duke, Hayden Duke, Finley Duke, Teagan French, Charlotte French. Great-great grandchildren Mika Gregg, Harlow Hamilton, and EllieMae Hardy.
