Barbara Griffin Miller, 90, of Tomball, Texas, passed from this life on April 27, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1934 to Jesse W. and Sally Lou Griffin in Vivian, Louisiana.
Throughout her high school years, she greatly enjoyed playing clarinet for the band, and she graduated valedictorian in 1952 from Vivian High School. After high school, she attended business school, Meadows-Drone, and took her first secretarial position with Pan American Pipeline Company. While living near Shreveport, she met Bob Miller, and they were married in Vivian, Louisiana on July 7, 1955.
She and Bob moved to various places in Louisiana and Texas eventually settling in Spring, Texas in the 1970's where they became long-term members of Spring Baptist Church. She served in various ministries there for over twenty years.
Her time in Spring was briefly interrupted when Bob worked on the Caribbean island of Curacao, and she lived there for about four years. Upon retiring, she and Bob enjoyed travelling, gardening, and the fellowship of her church.
After a lengthy illness, she passed at the home of her daughter, Mitzi, and is now eternally at peace with our Lord.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Mitzi Moore, married to Michael Moore; her son Scott Miller, married to Betsy Miller; grandchildren, Sophia Moore, Natalia Miller, Amanda Lewis, Sarah Schmittgens, Kyle Moore, Samuel Moore, Melissa Garcia and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse W. and Sally Lou Griffin, her brothers Jesse and Donald Griffin, and her husband of 60 years, Bob Joseph Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at Klein Funeral Home on 1400 W. Main St, Tomball, Texas at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 1st with visitation starting at 1 PM.
