Barbara Jo Davis Hunt (née Hillard), age 65, passed away on April 30, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
The family will receive visitors Sunday, May 4th, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, Texas 77065. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 5th, 2025 at 10 am at Klein Funeral Home 9719 Wortham Houston, Texas 77065, with REV. Matt Neely officiating. Interment to follow at a later date in Maple Hills Cemetery in Cadillac Michigan.
Born on December 14, 1959, in Cadillac, Michigan, Barbara was the daughter of Virginia Leach of Clearwater, Florida, and the late Keith L. Hillard. She grew up surrounded by a loving family and carried that spirit of devotion throughout her life.
Barbara built a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a profession that reflected her sharp intellect and dedication to excellence. Her work ethic and integrity earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
A courageous and resilient woman, Barbara was a 19-year breast cancer survivor. She faced her diagnosis with unwavering strength and determination, becoming an inspiration to those around her through her perseverance and grace.
Barbara cherished time with her family and found joy in their company. She is survived by her devoted husband, Don Hunt of Cypress Texas; daughters Jessica Davis of Cypress, Texas; Jacqueline Davis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Jennifer Davis-Haynes of Oklahoma; stepdaughter Stephanie Soares (Pedro) of League City, Texas; grandchildren Lucas Soares, Journey Haynes, Journel Haynes, and Claire Soares. She also leaves behind her brother Thomas Hillard (Kara) of Zeeland, Michigan; sisters Debra Kobey of Clearwater, Florida; and Janeen Wegner (Thomas) of Middleville, Michigan. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara's love extended beyond people to include her pets, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout the years. Her warmth touched many lives—family members, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father Keith L. Hillard and her grandparents.
May Barbara's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Memorial Tributes may be made to the breast Cancer Association as well as Lucky Mutts in Cypress, Texas.
