Barbara Jean Helbach passed away March 8, 2017.  Barbara was born on April 10, 1951 in Stevens Point, WI, the fourth of seven children to Walter and Theresa Helbach.  She graduated from Maria High School in 1969.  Barbara loved to travel and after her high school graduation, she traveled Europe.  While traveling in Luxemburg, an unfortunate bike accident landed her in the hospital and through friendships, later started a job with an oil company, the field she worked in most of her life.  After nearly 10 years of living in Europe Barbara returned to the states and graduated with Honors from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a degree in Accounting.  She worked for Scientific Drilling in Houston from the time she graduated college till she retired in 2015.    Barb rose through the administrative ranks to the position of Director of Accounting at her company, spending the last 10 years before retirement as VP of International Tax.   She lived in the Houston area for nearly forty years and was a proud mother and grandmother.  Barbara's intelligence and knowledge was only surpassed by her kind and generous heart.  A viewing and visitation will be March 16, 2017 at 1pm at Klein Funeral Home at 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Klein, TX 77379.  Barbara loved Texas but always enjoyed returning to her Wisconsin home.  A Celebration of Life will take place in mid June in her hometown of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
