Barbara Nell Hebert, 82, was born on March 18, 1944 in Waco, Texas. She passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.

Barbara was a cherished homemaker who found joy in cooking and baking. Her delightful cakes not only brought smiles to loved ones but also raised significant funds at charity auctions, reflecting her generous spirt and commitment to helping others.

Known for her nurturing nature, she took care of everyone around her, ensuring that those in her life felt valued and loved. Barbara had a passion for gardening, transforming her yard into a vibrant oasis filled with beautiful plants and flowers that brought joy to all to visited.

In addition to her love of cooking and baking, she enjoyed fishing out at the lake. She was also talented in the art of sewing, making her own wedding dress. Dancing was another passion that brought so much joy to she and her husband.

In 2010, she retired from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 office after 26 years of dedicated service as the Assistant Chief Clerk.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Davis B. Mullins, Sr. and Rose Nell Crouch Mullins, her daughter Terry Gault, her sons Allen Gault, Jr. and Bryan Gault, a grandson Shelby Ford, and two brothers, Thomas Mullins and Jimmy Mullins.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Kenneth "Abear" Hebert, her beloved Golden Retriever, Dixie, her brother Davis Mullins, Jr. and a sister, Betty Williams, her bonus children Traci Hanks (Monty) of Lafayette, LA, Derrick Hebert (Celeste) of Clinton, SC and Olivia Hebert (Chad) of Warsaw, IN. Her daughter-in-laws Alice Gault and Monette Gault. Her grandchildren Lew Ford (Gladys) of Long Island, NY, Stephanie Ford of Houston, TX, Kenneth Gault (Brittani) of Slidell, LA, Nikki Cook (Bryan) of Rusk, TX, Kaleb Gault of Slidell, TX, Sonya Bickley (Tony) of Spring, TX, Keith Gault (Christina) of Houston, TX, Larry Gault (Ariel) of Houston, TX, Taylor Thibodeaux (Scotty) of Scott, LA, Zack Gault (Maya) of Houston, TX, Christina, BrynnLee and Munro of Clinton, SC and Brayden, Maverick, Ryder and Grayson of Warsaw, IN.

She also leaves behind 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews that loved and adored her.

Barbara also will be greatly missed by her best friend and confidant of 60 years, Janis Mullins. Their friendship was a testament to the enduring power of love and support.

Barbara also leaves behind her sisters-in-law; Nancy Hayes (Carrol) of Carencro, LA and Denise Clark of Lafayette, LA and brothers-in-law; Thomas "Buster" Hebert (Lucille) of Lafayette,LA, Glynn Hebert of Lafayette, LA and Jeffery Hebert of Lafayette, LA.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of so many, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.

Pallbears will be her grandsons, Kenneth Gault, Kaleb Gault, Keith Gault, Larry Gault, Austin Treptow, Zack Gault.
