Barbara Kay Farrar was born in Carrizozo, New Mexico on June 2, 1952, and passed away in Houston, Texas on February 19, 2022.

Barbara was a devoted Mother and Grandma, she gave selflessly and asked for little in return. She was beautiful inside and out and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She lived the last 20 years near her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren and lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling with her family, fishing, and doing anything that involved spending time with her grandchildren. Her love for her family will forever be cherished. She was a true blessing from God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel (Manny) and Florence (Tilley) Mirabal and her sister Faye Dorsett.

Barbara is survived by her son, Ben Farrar and wife Amy Farrar; grandchildren, Kaylen Farrar and Henry Farrar; brother, Mike Mirabal and wife Kathy Mirabal; sister, Ramona Lee; niece, Mica DeSabetino; and nephew, Aaron Dorsett.
