Barbara Ann Bundy departed this earthly realm on August 8, 2023, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was 71 years old. Barbara's valiant spirit was on full display as she volunteered for a trial drug regimen, willingly embracing seventeen rounds of chemotherapy in an endeavor to illuminate a path of hope for those afflicted by the relentless grip of this terrible disease. With the unwavering support of her family, Barbara displayed immense determination amidst a grueling struggle, earning the admiration of the medical community that provided her with exceptional care.

A cornerstone of her life's narrative was the enduring love she shared with her beloved husband, Richard Bundy, spanning fifty years of a union marked by joy and friendship. Their partnership was a testament to the beauty of commitment and companionship, woven through the fabric of a life richly lived. As a dedicated homemaker, almost every moment was focused on nurturing and enriching the lives of her family. Her heart's delight was found in the cherished moments spent with her children and grandchildren.  These bonds that were forged will remain unbroken by her death.

Barbara's faith in the risen Christ was a wellspring of vitality and a significant source of hope throughout her lifetime. Her presence within the community of Bear Creek Church was a gift to those who knew her. Barbara's affection was present in every gesture, each act of kindness a testament to her profound love and humility.

Barbara's legacy is etched not only in the hearts of her immediate family but also in the vast network of lives she touched. Barbara's memory will be carried on by her husband Richard, son Brian, daughter-in-law Ashley, son Brad, daughter-in-law Angela, and a brood of beloved grandchildren—Richard, Cameron, Caleb, Jonathan, Carter, and Reagan. Her siblings Cheryl Sneed, David Pittman, and Janet Riley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, also carry with them the indelible marks of Barbara's love.

In honoring Barbara's memory, her family invites you to contribute to the South Texas Children's Home (STCH), an organization dedicated to the care and nurture of young souls in need. This gesture not only honors her memory but continues the legacy of love and compassion she sowed throughout her days.  A specific fund for this purpose has been established by Bear Creek Church, and all funds will go directly to STCH.
