BARBARA BUNTIN BRIZZOLARA
7/3/1931 – 4/18/2025

Barbara, born on July 3, 1931 in Bartlesville, OK, died April 18, 2025. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1949. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority at Southern Methodist University, where she graduated in 1953. She married Jim Brizzolara in October 1953. They were married for 62 years before Jim passed away in 2016. Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband Jim, oldest daughter Debra Brizzolara Ghittini and grandson Zachary Herman. She is survived by her daughters and their families: Rebecca Brizzolara and Mark Dove, Emily (Sam), Shelby (Rolf) and Steele; Melinda and David Crader; Cynthia and Michael Herman, Madison and Preston; Angela and James Senneff, Jr., Phillip (Cailynn and great-grandson Liam) and Kyle (Amanda); and Debby's husband Renato and her daughters, Gwendolyn and Megan.

Barbara began her teaching career after graduation, including two years teaching on Guam, where Jim was stationed with the United States Navy. Most of her 30-year teaching career was in Klein ISD, where she was the Language Arts department chair at Strack Intermediate School for 22 years. Barbara was passionate about teaching, which is evident in the number of former students that remember and speak fondly of her to this day. She was an avid bridge player, playing with two groups every month and whenever someone would call her to fill in. She also loved playing the piano and was a piano teacher for many years.

A funeral service will be held at Klein United Methodist Church, 5920 FM 2920, Spring, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, followed by interment at Klein Memorial Park, 14711 Cypress North Houston Rd., Cypress, TX 77429.
