Barbara Lynn Beier departed her loving family and friends on the evening of September 8, 2021 at the age of 57 years in The Woodlands, Texas surrounded by her family. Barbara was special to many different people some of which called her Barlynn, Robert, Bubba, BB, or Barb. She was born in Savannah, Georgia to Jim and Marie Strain on October 26, 1963. As a child she enjoyed trips with her family and playing cornet. As a young mother, she enjoyed cooking brisket on the weekends, having play dates with her best friend, and raising her children, Christopher and Ashley. They were one of her proudest accomplishments. Barbara married Thomas W. Beier, Jr. on August 8, 1997. Together they spent time doing yard work, spoiling their dogs, and traveling.
She was a caring and compassionate person who always put others before herself and would do or give anything to someone in need. This was evident in the work she did at HCA, as a hospital liaison aiding medical professionals in the care of others. It reached beyond her professional life into her personal relationships, especially with the children of close family friends as they were always treated as her own. Of all the things Barbara loved, holidays were among her favorite. She decorated her house from top to bottom especially during Christmas. Barbara would create handcrafted decorations including wreaths, bows, painted wooden signs, and even personalized gifts. Barbara's favorite past times (much to the chagrin of her family), included unorganized couponing, super gluing any and every thing, and shopping on the Home Shopping Network.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents James and Martha Strain; her brothers, Jimmy Strain Jr. and Leroy Strain; her pets, Lucky, Earl, and Miss B.
Barbara was survived by her husband of 24 years, Thomas Beier Jr.; her son, Christopher Ryan and wife Cassie; her daughters, Ashley Gonzales and Shalie Tudor and husband Brandon; her grandchildren Easton Tudor, Alice Ryan, and Everlyn Tudor; her sister, Patricia "Pat" Oliva and husband Rene; her pet, Fifi; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
