Aurora Abcede Alvarez of Tomball, Texas, affectionately called "Mommy" by many, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018.

Viewing and visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas from 5pm to 8pm, on Friday, April 13, 2018, with a 7pm vigil.

Funeral mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1922 State Highway 249, Houston, Texas with burial to follow at Klein Memorial Park, 32539 State Highway 249 Pinehurst, Texas.

Reception will follow directly after at the Alvarez residence.

Aurora was born in Manila, Philippines and arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana in October 1976 with her three children and her husband joined a year later. She moved with her family to Houston, Texas in 1978. In the Philippines, Aurora was a Professor of Accounting at the University of the East where she also earned her Master's in Business Administration. She worked as the Corporate Controller for Hughes Tool Company, Brown and Root, Spring Engineers and United Home Health Services and culminated her career by establishing her own CPA firm and tax practice.

Aurora was married to Francisco for over 53 years, and is survived by Francisco, her 3 children, Allan and wife Rhoda, Suzanne and husband Rickey, Robert and wife Jackie and her grandchildren Alonzo, Ava, Jaden, Priya and Julian.
