Mrs. Aura Linette Silvera Gromala, born October 8, 1965 in Panama City, Panama passed away on January 7, 2022 in College Station, Texas due to complications from treatment for pancreatic cancer. Aura was a loving mother and wife, and an always-welcoming friend whose compassion and energy left a lasting impression on every person she came across.   She was an avid sports fan, coach, and loved volunteering with family and friends to serve her community.  She also enjoyed cooking, traveling with family and friends, and Texas Aggie Football.

She earned a B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Houston and a M.S. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.  She also earned a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Aura is survived by her loving husband of 33 years John, son Matthew, daughter Katelyn, parents Didacio and Edilma Silvera, brother Roberto and sister in-law Melissa Silvera, sister Marissa and brother in-law Mark Gaskins, In-laws Diane and Richard Opalacz, David and Colleen Gromala, Joanne Saulinskas, Janet and Michael Nash, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Aura is preceded in death by her grandmother Ninfa Reyes and brother in-law Stephen Saulinskas.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Aura Linette Silvera Gromala will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 15 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes during this difficult time and requests donations to the Baylor Scott & White Cancer Treatment Center ( https://ctxfoundation.bswhealth.com/areas-of-need/college-station ) in lieu of flowers. Her final resting place will be near her family's home in the Bryan/College Station area.
