Arvel, 90, left this world peacefully on April 4, 2026 at Methodist Hospital – Willowbrook with his daughter at his side.

Arvel was born on December 17, 1935 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Arthur Fehrenbach and Viola Sparks. He grew up in San Antonio, where he developed a drive to compete & to succeed. After graduating from Burbank High School, he went on to pursue a career in Electronics Technology at Texas Instruments, to which he dedicated himself for 28 years.

A loving husband to Sandra for over 67 years, Arvel was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Together, they raised 2 children: Lisa & Michael.  He strove to be the foundation of his family & to provide a better life for them. He was a notable presence at family gatherings & holiday celebrations.

Arvel had many passions in life, including coin & stamp collecting, gardening (became a Master Gardener!) and being the designated caretaker of the company recreational park for 11 years, where he positively impacted many people's lives. Growing up during the Depression & WW2 instilled in him a lifelong frugality & desire to recycle, especially things others found worthless. He was known for his work ethic, practicality, logical thinking & punctuality.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra, his children Lisa & Michael, and daughter-in-law Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Kenneth & Monroe.

A funeral service to celebrate Arvel's life will be held on 4/14/2026 at Klein Funeral Home - Magnolia, located at 14711 FM1488, Magnolia, TX 77354. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
