Arthur P. Haag was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, boss, and friend. He went home to be with our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of January 18th, 2023, just 11 days shy of what would have been his 94th birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen, their six dogs (his favorite of which was little Joe), and his
five children. He was welcomed to Heaven by his departed wife, Joanne, his canine children who passed before him, and his dear siblings.

Arthur was born to Heinrich Josef and Johanna Katharina Haag on January 29th, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were German immigrants who came to the US on a ship and crossed through Ellis Island in New York. As a result, Arthur grew up on traditional German values (not to mention German cooking!) and had many cherished
memories of his parents that he loved to share whenever he had the opportunity.

Arthur graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1951 and was a licensed Professional Chemical Engineer in both California and Ohio (where he lived before moving to Texas in the late 1970s). Arthur also proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and will receive full Military
Honors during his Funeral & Graveside Services. Arthur was married three times throughout his life and was a devoted
husband to each of his wives. He was first married to Shirley, and then Joanne. After Joanne's passing, he married his current wife, Karen, in 2002 and was happily married with her until his passing.

Arthur was a vivacious soul, who loved life and all it had to offer. Two of his greatest passions were history and travel. He had the pleasure to travel often and to far corners of the world, gathering stories and memories along the way, which he adored sharing with his loved ones. Many times, we sat around the dinner table, listening to tales of his adventures and
what he learned, admiring the sparkle in his eye as he reminisced. He loved German cooking, courtesy of his mother, and loved to make liver dumpling soup and crepes whenever he got the chance. He had the luxury of living in his own home with Karen and their six dogs until his passing. Arthur was dearly loved by those closest to him and will be very sorely missed.
