Arthur "Art" Macke Bauer passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the age of 80. He
was born in Rochester, NY on the 15th of March, 1939.
After graduating from Rush-Henrietta High School in 1958, he joined the Navy, serving four
years as a medic in Annapolis, MD. While serving, he married his high school sweetheart,
Lenny (Brayley) Bauer, and they recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Shortly
after the completion of his military service, he began his successful career in sales, working in
the states of New York, Florida and Texas. Upon his retirement in 2000, Art and Lenny built and
moved into their beautiful lake house on Lake Livingston.
Art enjoyed his hobbies of painting, fishing, boating, reading, golf and spending time with his
family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lenny Bauer; his son Mark and his wife Janet; his son
Kirk; his grandchildren Julia, Karsten and Heidi; and his brother Barry Galetto and his partner
Rosemary.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family. The service will
be announced by the Klein Champions Funeral Home website at that time.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions to be directed to
the charity of one's choice, or your local SPCA.
