Arthur (Art) Adame Arias of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away at the age of 60, on November 17, 2023 in Conroe, Texas.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, December 3, at Klein Funeral Home – Magnolia, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, and burial will follow at 3:00 pm at the same location.

Arthur Adame Arias was born in Houston, Texas, to Arthur G. Arias and Mary Helen Adame on May 31, 1963.  He graduated from Scarborough High School and attended Lone Star College in Houston, Texas. He married Deborah Fritsche on April 28, 1990.

He was a very caring person and always liked helping others, especially those in need. At home he would always help his sister do the chores and took care of his brothers while his mother worked. He even learned to be a great cook. In his early teen years, he volunteered to assist the deacon at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in making home visits to the elderly and sick.

He always wanted to be a business man. He started by mowing grass at a very early age and handled it as a business venture. He always was fair with the pricing and was often found doing extra chores for his customers without pay. He befriended one particular sick and elderly man who was home alone because his wife worked.

He would mow his yard and then after receiving his pay, he would clean his house and fix his lunch for free and visit with him to cheer him up. When the elderly man passed away, his wife sent a very special thank you note expressing how her husband greatly appreciated Art's visits and how close they bonded.

As a youth, he had a passion for riding an off-road motorcycle as well as repairing and maintaining his bike. He entered many motorcycle racing contests and won many first and second places medals all over Texas. He also enjoyed playing sports, was an all-star little league player, and played football in high school.

During summer vacation in high school, he, along with his brother Aaron Arias and cousin Robert Adame, worked with his Grandfather Adame, who was superintendent of a railroad construction company that built new railroad tracks all over the United States. The work required working from sun-up to sun-down, but Art never complained. He learned to operate burro cranes and all other kinds of machinery and also learned to drive two-ton trucks and tractors and fix the machinery if needed.

After high school graduation, he worked as a machinist and welder for a couple of years. He always wanted to open his own ornamental iron fence business, which he did at an early age and had that successful business for the rest of his life. One of his outstanding jobs in the early years was building an ornamental iron fence for the Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas. He followed this with building many outdoor ornamental iron staircases for apartments and commercial businesses. He also built many ornate/decorative indoor stairways. His specialty was building ornamental iron fences all over Texas, mainly in the Woodlands, Texas, and Conroe, Texas. His talents as a friendly and talkative person, who was always determined and who believed doing a good job, greatly helped him to be a successful business man.

His motto was to "never give up" whether it was in playing sports, hobbies, and working at his job.

Arthur was a devoted husband and father. He was very proud of his three sons and many times when they were young, he would take them along on his jobs and especially when he went hunting and fishing. Watching football on TV as a family, including his wife, was their favorite pass time.

When his kids were young, he would pray with them before they got into the school bus for protection against anyone that would try to fight with them and he told them that God would always be with them and protect them.

As an adult, his main passion was in physical fitness and coaching football as a volunteer in the Woodlands football youth league. He got his three sons at an early age involved in physical fitness and football and instilled in them a love for football, so much so, that his oldest son, Art, is a coach at an Austin, Texas, middle school. His second son, Chris, excelled at Lone Star college, was a good football player, and is now working in the health and fitness department at the college. He also groomed his youngest son, Brandon, in the fence business, which his son took over during Art's long illness causing him to delay his college education. Art always thought his son, Brandon, was a good sales person and fair in his dealings.

One of his favorite pastimes was going to his deer lease to hunt and relax. He also brought in his brothers and their family members to the deer lease to hunt which brought the family closer together. He also loved to fish and was known as a good fisherman.

Arthur is now home with his heavenly Father, and as his favorite song says:

Go rest high on that mountain. 'Cause son your work on earth is done"

Art is preceded in death by his father, Arthur G. Arias and his grandparents: Ausencio and Margarita Arias, and Amado and Felipe Adame.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah, and three sons: Arthur and wife Kylie, Christopher, and Brandon. He is survived by one sister, Arlinda Munsey and husband Jim and family from Kingston, TN, and two brothers Aaron Arias and wife Kim and family from League City and Adrian Arias and wife Rene and family from Tomball TX and by his mother, Mary Helen Adame Polk and husband Tom from Houston, TX. He is also survived by many other relatives, cousins, and a host of good friends from childhood, teen years, and his adult life.
