Armando Rodriguez, a devoted man of God, gifted musician, inspiring teacher, and deeply loving family man, went home to the Lord on July 5, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on September 3, 1968, in Santa Ana, Orange County, California, Armando lived a life defined by loyalty, joy, and profound care for others. His cheerful spirit brought light into every room he entered, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Armando's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He walked through the world with grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to serving God.
After graduating from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music Degree, Armando poured his spirit into his musical talents. Whether playing an instrument, teaching, or singing, he shared his passion for music with hundreds of students, family, friends, and community. He ultimately fulfilled his dream of opening 6 Strings Music Academy, cementing his legacy as a dedicated educator who spent over 30 years teaching music and shaping the minds and hearts of countless students with patience and enthusiasm.
Above all, Armando was a family man. He was a fiercely loyal and loving husband to his wife, Alicia, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. As a father to Isabella and Andre, and grandfather to Theo, he was a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love. As a son and brother, he was a constant source of pride and comfort, always showing them deep respect, love and unwavering support.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Rodriguez; his children, Isabella Rodriguez (Alfred) and Andre Rodriguez; grandson, Theodore (Theo) Belzunce, his parents Joe and Rosario Rodriguez, brother Joseph Rodriguez, Jr. (Jessica), and sister Angie Groemminger (Virginia), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a community of friends, peers and students who will miss his warm presence deeply.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065 with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery, 14711 Cypress North Rd., Cypress, TX 77429.
