In loving memory of Argie Emily Fitzhenry who passed away peacefully at home on 11/21/21, surrounded by her family. Argie was the born on 11/30/30, the daughter of Paul and Rose Ella Slates, Wellington, TX. She grew up in Sherman, TX., and later her family moved to Hot Springs, AR., where she graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1950.

In September 1950 she married Coy Fitzhenry and together they had five children. Later in her life she obtained a nursing degree from UTMB, and pursued a career in nursing at Memorial Hermann Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, painting, puzzles, and most of all spending time with her family, and her beloved pets Sophia and Lucky.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Ella Slates, daughter Pamela Fitzhenry Mitchell, brothers Herman Slates, Freddy Slates, Melvin Slates, and sister Lula Marr.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Holmes and husband Jim, Sherry Sandal and husband John, Gary Fitzhenry and wife Joyce, and Cynthia Mills and husband Gary. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend Vistation and Funeral Services at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 F. M. 1488, Magnolia, TX. 77354. Visitation will be held on November 28, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place the next day on November 29, at 10:00 am. Services will conclude with interment at Klein Memorial Park. A reception will follow to honor Ms. Fitzhenry at Joyful Life, 5514 F.M. 1488, Magnolia, TX. 77354.
