Obituary

April Lyn Asbill Theiss was born June 4, 1963, and left this Earth on June 5, 2019, after a valiant, two-year struggle against pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind the pain for the comfort of her Heavenly Father.

April often underestimated the love her tight circle of family and friends and those she touched throughout her life had for her--this selflessness is just one of her many qualities that will be sorely missed. Those who knew her will remember a vibrant, daring, incisively intelligent, and beautiful woman.

Her love for others was clear and unmistakable. In particular, her passion and admiration of her husband Dwayne and her children Taylor and Dustin increased daily and without bounds.

While these qualities reveal April's character, those of us celebrating her life, know her as a character . She worked hard at Theiss Market and as a mother, but she also played hard. In short, she had fun. She could make you feel important and she could cut you down to size. She had amazing reservoirs of compassion and unbelievable resilience. She knew how to live life and resisted leaving with all her might.

She is survived by many who loved her including her immediate family, Dwayne, Taylor, and Dustin; her mother, Linda Asbill; devoted sister, Autumn Asbill, and her sons Chayce, Geryn, and Westyn; mother-in-law, Kay Theiss; step-mother, Donna Asbill; her aunt and uncle, Paula and Ed Hudson; cousins Chris Hudson and Tracy Smith; sister and brother-in-law Stacey and Mike Watthuber; Bailey Makenna Cameron; Chip and Luann Theiss, Erika and Ashley; and by the constant compatriot of her craziness, her best friend, Lisa Theiss, her brother PK, and her husband Skip and their children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by father Tom Asbill; father-in-law, Jerry Theiss; grandparents, Pauline and Ray Cox, and Ruth and Jack Asbill.

Daryn Ball, Brett Ball, John Dice, Chris Hudson, Mike Watthuber, and Chayce Young will serve as pallbearers at her memorial service, 11:00, Tuesday, June 11, Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring, Texas.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society.
