Obituary

With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Antonio Gomia Mondejar Sr. announces his peaceful passing on February 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on March 15, 1947, to Olimpio and Felicidad Mondejar, Antonio lived a life marked by dedication, courage, and an unwavering devotion to his family and faith.

Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Betty T. Mondejar; children, Trenna Black and her husband Andrew Black, and Antonio Mondejar Jr. He will be remembered as a loving father, a caring friend, and a man whose presence brought warmth and strength to everyone around him.

He pursued studies in Criminal Justice and later built a meaningful career in Hotel Management, eventually transitioning to work for a manufacturing company. Through every role he held, Antonio was known for his work ethic, integrity, and humble spirit.
Antonio's life overflowed with passions that reflected his energy and love for the world; martial arts, running, singing, traveling, woodworking, gardening, and faithfully attending church. These joys shaped the vibrant and full life he lived.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to St. Mary Magdalene Parish, Omega Hospice, MD Anderson, and to all friends, relatives, and prayer supporters who stood alongside Antonio throughout his courageous battle. Your kindness and prayers brought comfort and strength to him and his family.

Antonio's memory will live on through the love he shared, the faith he embodied, and the legacy he leaves in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
