Annette Hart Delcastilho,  84 went to be with her Lord on August 12th, 2021. Annette  was born July 23, 1937 in the parish of St. James, Barbados to Norman W.H. Hart and Sheila Bagot Hart. Annette attended and graduated from Ursuline Convent School in Bridgetown, Barbados. Annette married the love of her life Rudolph " Rudy" Augustus Delcastilho on June 8, 1957 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, St. Michael, Bridgetown, Barbados. Annette and Rudy were blessed with two children, Christopher Michael and Maria Elizabeth.

Annette and Rudy along with their two children Chris and Maria left the beautiful island of Barbados and immigrated to the United States of America on July 13, 1976 where they became citizens of the USA. They arrived in Maryland, USA where they lived for about a year. They moved to Houston, Texas the first part of 1977 to join Annette's sister Christine & brother-in-law Bruce Nicholas and also Cousin Joan & Cam Leamy.  Annette and Rudy later moved to Spring, Texas in October of 1992 where she resided until her death.

Annette worked most of her life with a phone in her hand. Her first job was as a receptionist and switch board operator at Barbados Light & Power where she worked until their moved to the United States in 1976. While living in Maryland, she worked as a sales representative in the Pebbles Department Store until their move to Houston. Upon arrival in Houston, Annette worked most of her life for Sun Life of Canada. Her last employment was with Remax Realty as receptionist. She loved being around people and her infectious personality made her a favorite amongst co-workers and the general public.

Annette had numerous friends. Some of who were Betty Neonis and Jann Williford....her shopping buddies! Also, a long time friend was Kathleen Jardine whom she spent literally hours talking to on the phone...Mom's favorite pass time! Her other long time friends and one time neighbors Mary and David Matlock were very close to her and Rudy.  She enjoyed spending time with them and Mary's mom Thyra French.  She would get excited when we all would  go to Lake Conroe to spend the day on the lake in Mary and David's boat.  Don't forget the "pina colada" ....her favorite drink!  Annette's greatest joy of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Luke's hospital for the support and kindness they had shown to our Mom Annette on her final days. A special thanks to the respiratory therapist, Kelly Blake for the care she gave Mom while she was in ICU.

Also, Dr. Becca Botkin and  the staff and care-givers at Stake Place..(Farrah, Jennifer and Shekie)..the assisted living facility that Mom lived  at for the last three years. Their attentiveness to Annette's needs were always their first priority. The chef, Jean at Stake Place made sure that Annette received her cup of coffee before any meal preparation started for the day at the facility. She would hand carry the cup of coffee to Mom's room along with mom's creamer and Splenda...Mom called it "sweet-sweet"!

Annette was preceded in death by, Rudolph "Sonny" her loved husband, of 44 years , her parents Norman & Sheila Hart,  her parent-in-laws Eli & Angela Delcastilho and brother-in-law Bruce Nicholas.

She is survived by two children, daughter, Maria Amador and son Christopher Delcastilho & wife Nancy; Five grandchildren: Lauren Blake and husband Taylor, Haley Collavo & husband Troy, Taylor Kelly and husband Christopher, Shannon Whittington and wife Cynthia, Candice Godby and husband Ryan; ten great grandchildren, Camden Blake, Stella Collavo, Owen Collavo, Asher Kelly, Kennedy Cano & husband Jonny, Sebastian Whittington, Aiden Whittington, Jordan Whittington, Jacob Godby and Madison Godby; one great great grandchild, Samson Cano; Annette is also survived by her sister, Christine Nicholas and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
