Obituary

Anna Jadene (Cox) Wilhite of Houston passed away August 29, 2016. She was born also on August 29, 1940 in Lubbock, Texas to J.W. and Sarah Ann Maynard Cox. She worked as an accountant for an oil and gas company.

The Woman we knew as, Mom, Mamaw, Jadene, Miss Jadene, Boss Lady and many other dear names; passed from this earth Monday evening on her 76th Birthday. Only her outer self was left behind, she no longer breaths or moves, and her spirit lives on in the memories of those who she loved and those who knew her. We have the memories of the times past, the days of growing sharing and loving, the laughter, the tears, the moments of sheer joy, and the moments of sheer strength to survive what we must. She is with her loved ones gone before, the love of her life, her mother, her siblings and friends. She sees the tears, and the heartache, and she appreciates it all; but she also wants those left behind to move forward knowing she loved them on this earth, and loves them still, wanting them to move forward. She wanted everyone to be productive and safe, to be happy with memories, and with the knowledge it is only the world of the living she left. For she is now in spirit free, sharing with those she missed the next stage of her journey, may God embrace her. She was strong determined hard head, loved, loving, opinionated, bright, brilliant woman who loved hard and long, and still is loving you all left behind. We love you, miss you and look forward to seeing you again.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arlian Earl Wilhite on December 20, 2011. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Cindy Carlson, Phyllis Kennedy and husband Robert, and Allen Wilhite; sister Linda Coffman; grandchildren Tricia Carlson, Jordan Kennedy, Arlian Kennedy, Ira Kennedy, Samantha Wilhite and Madilynn Wilhite, great-grandchildren Delilah Kennedy and Bella Stagnitta, as well as other family members and friends.
