ANNA RAE LUND, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June
8, 2021, surrounded by loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Dennis Doyle Lund,
brothers: Allen Jay Coburn, Jack Edward "Jackie" Coburn, and oldest Coburn
(unnamed), sisters: Mamie Coburn Wade and Martha Dean Coburn Morgan,
parents: James Buchanan Coburn and Anna Irene Vinyard Coburn, uncle: John Jay
Coburn, aunts: Verna Dean (John) Coburn, Carrie Anson Vinyard Seacrist and
Margaret Vinyard, and grandparents: Edward W. Vinyard, Ursula Harmon
Vinyard, Rev Andrew Jackson Coburn, and Francis Allen Coburn.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Beverly Coburn and Signa Gene Smith,
brother-in-law: Kenneth Earl Lund, children: Dennis Mark Lund and wife Belinda,
Anna Louise Everitt and husband Jeff, James Eric Lund and wife Neva, Kurt Anton
Lund and wife Dipti, and Christopher Gothard Lund, numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, other family, and friends.

Born September 17, 1930 in Monticello, Arkansas, Anna's family soon relocated to
Ponchatoula, Louisiana, where Anna and her siblings grew up and helped where
they could in the Depression Era: making their own clothing, playing an
instrument, singing, attending school, maintaining a vibrant garden, and assisting
in their father's lumber mill. After graduating from local public schools, with her
parents as teachers no less, Anna moved to New Orleans, where she met her first
husband, married, but soon divorced. She later met Dennis Doyle Lund, and in
November 1954, they were married and relocated to Annapolis, Maryland for
Doyle's career at the Naval Academy. They made a life for themselves, including
buying a house and bearing their five children. In 1968, Doyle retired from the
Navy, and they relocated to Houston, Texas for two years, eventually buying land
in Cypress, Texas to build a home. Anna continued to raise the children, and
eventually opened a Christian Bookstore in 1988 that was in business for 10+
years. In 2001, she lost her husband to cancer. In the latter 20 years of her life,
she devoted herself to ministering to family and friends, reading books, and
enjoying her grandkids.

Family and friends are invited to Klein Funeral Home – Champions on Thursday,
June 24th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for visitation, and Friday, June 25th at 9:00am
for Celebration of Life services. Interment to follow at Houston National
Cemetery.
