Ann Marie Toutloff Sandy, 58, of Spring, Tx, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022.

She was born June 7, 1964, in Michigan City, In, to Robert and Cecelia Gallagher Toutloff, both who preceded her in death. On Dec. 1, 1985 in LaPorte, In, she married William Sandy who survives in Spring. Also surviving are her son Jacob Sandy (Sabina Corrigan), Houston, Tx, and her daughter, Megan Sandy, Spring; her sister Mary Elizabeth (Steven) Peterka, Trail Creek, In; and her brother Paul Toutloff, Trail Creek.

Two brothers, Jeffrey Toutloff and Steven Toutloff, also preceded her in death.

The Celebration of Life will be held on February 13th. It will be a private gathering.

Ann Marie moved from Michigan City to LaPorte when she was a teen, and lived there until she married Bill. When Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corps she followed him to Okinawa, Japan. After a couple of years they moved state-side and lived on various Marine Corps bases. While Bill served his country, Ann Marie became a Key Wives Leader, hosting and counseling other Marine Corps spouses.

Ann Marie learned jewelry making skills while living in Camp Pendleton, so after she and Bill retired to Spring, Ann Marie found employment at the Beadaholique Jewelry Store and taught jewelry making.

Later she worked as a Radiation Dosimetry Research Technician at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Ann Marie was very in-tune with nature. There was always a bird cage and plants around the house, plus gardens in the yard. She loved bird watching and found beauty in everything around her. She enjoyed playing classical piano, and wrote some beautiful pieces. Ann Marie loved quilting, she created several beautiful quilts over the years. A few times she worked the International Houston Quilt Show.

Her interests were wide and varied, enjoying concerts, cups of tea in the afternoon, movies, traveling and most of all, her family. She had constant steadfast love and loyalty for her family. Ann Marie was a woman of great faith and strength. She was kind, intelligent, intuitive, artistic, funny and so loved. She loved Jesus with all of her heart  and enjoyed her life to the fullest.
