It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anita Cheryl Thompson, age 80, on June 16, 2025. She passed away peacefully at a personal care home in Tomball. Burial will be in Klein Memorial Park directed by Klein Funeral Home, 32359 State Highway 249.
Anita Thompson was born on March 20, 1945 in Abilene, TX to Thomas and Bettie Smithwick. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Randall Thompson, and together, they shared 58 years of devoted marriage.
Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to the care and well-being of her family. She was known for her steadfast dependability, unwavering loyalty, and nurturing spirit.
She found great joy in life's simple pleasures — music that lifted her spirit, the excitement of soccer, the wonder of Disney, and an unconditional love of animals. She enjoyed these cherished activities with those around her, finding great happiness and creating lasting memories for all who shared in those moments.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patsye Davis, and her father and mother, Thomas and Bettie Smithwick. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Randall Thompson; her three daughters: Tiffany Thompson, Amanda Davey, and Lindsay Ledbetter; and her four grandchildren: Sierra Davey, Bryce Davey, Isabel Ledbetter, and Eva Ledbetter.
Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to family and an enduring faith.
