Anita Marie Posluszny

Anita Marie (Amabile) Posluszny went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018 in Houston, TX. Anita was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 6, 1945. Anita has called Houston, TX her home since 1977.

Anita grew up in Jersey City, NJ and was extremely proud of her hometown and state, a true Jersey Girl. She started a Facebook group called "Jersey City Roots" and was extremely passionate about moderating and maintaining it. Through this group Anita made literally hundreds of friends that loved and cared about her. Every year Anita and members of the group would hold a Jersey City Reunion in the fall. Anita loved going to these reunions to see her family and friends, and to tour her favorite places in her hometown. Anita loved her family above all else, especially her children and her grandchildren. Christian and Heidi were the lights in her life and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Especially when she got to see them do the things they loved, like Christian playing soccer and Heidi's dance recitals. She would go up to see them on Sundays for a few hours, just to love on them and watch them play outside. She was always extremely proud of her family and loved posting pictures of them on her Jersey City Roots Facebook group.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Lisa Meyer and husband Jeremy, her son, Robert Posluszny and wife Sara, her grandchildren, Christian and Heidi Posluszny and her brothers, John Amabile, and George Amabile and wife Marion. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
