Angelika "Ann" Helga Weidner Rayburn, 72, of Cypress, TX, passed away on September 26, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1951, in Gollheim, Germany, to the late Erna and Reinhard Weidner. Ann was a proud and honorable person who always had a smile on her face, regardless of the circumstances. She was a hard worker, dedicating over 30 years of her life to Carmonas Grocery Store, where she made numerous friends and became a well-known figure in the neighborhood.

Ann's family and friends meant the world to her. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Linda Henson and Charity Richins; grandchildren, Steven Henson, Ashley Henson, Dylan Henson, Kaitlyn Henson, Alyssa Rayburn, Nicholas Tristan, and Serenity Richins; great-grandchildren Braedyn Henson, Wolfgang Henson, Aubrey Henson, Carter Taylor, and Zion Taylor; sister, Helga and brothers Peter, Dieter and Wolfgang along with more family and friends that live in Germany. Ann is also survived by and had a special bond with her sister-in-law and best friend, Linda McDaniel; brother-in-law Woodrow (Mac) McDaniel, and brother-in-law Charles Rayburn.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband William L Rayburn, mother and father Erna and Reinhard Weidner.

Ann was a member of West Houston Church of Christ where she was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Moments of joy for Ann included her love for bowling and playing the slot machines at the casino. She was an active member of a bowling league and cherished the friendships she formed with her fellow bowlers. Ann enjoyed traveling to bowling tournaments, even if she didn't have the highest scores. Ann enjoyed spending time with her daughters Linda and Charity. She enjoyed going to New Orleans with Linda and Linda's partner Dave. She always had fun even if it was just walking around the French Quarter market. Charity and Ann also enjoyed the Tomball German Festival each year. She took pride in her German heritage and cherished the moment when she became a US Citizen. Despite living in Texas for 51 years, many people mistook her accent for being from Louisiana, which always made her giggle.

Ann's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 5, 2023, at West Houston Church of Christ in Houston, Texas. In memory of Ann, the family kindly requests contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ann Rayburn will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend. Her strength, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
