Angela Kay Bulliner

Angela Kay Bulliner, affectionately known as “Angie” to her family and friends and “Granny” to her beloved grandsons, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 64. She was born on August 18, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Angela spent her early years in St. Louis, where she attended Roosevelt High School. In 1976, she relocated with her family to the Greater Houston area, a place she would proudly call home for the remainder of her life.

Angela was first and foremost a devoted mother and grandmother. She welcomed her oldest daughter, Ciara McMichael, with Timothy McMichael, and later married Stephen Doan, with whom she had her youngest daughter, Stevie Doan. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with her daughters and grandsons.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Bulliner (Fabian Ramos); her brother, John Bulliner III; her daughters, Ciara McMichael (Chris Allen) and Stevie Doan; her cherished grandsons, Roman Allen and Levi Allen; her nieces, Meaghan Ramos (Andrew Sanchez) and Mariah Brown (Justin Brown); and her nephew, Leo Ramos (Abigail Moran); and her grand nieces and nephews, Josiah Ramos, Sutton Brown, and Kaysen Brown. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members, dear friends, and countless lives touched by her kindness and compassion.

Angela was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Rangel; her stepfather, Robert Selensky; her father, John Bulliner Jr.; and her nephew, John File.

Although Angela spent most of her life as a caretaker, her impact reached far beyond her home. Having overcome addiction, she dedicated much of her later years to sharing her faith and encouraging others who were struggling to find hope, redemption, and a better path forward. Her unwavering belief in God's grace inspired many. 

Angela was a loyal friend, a trusted confidante, and a source of comfort to many. She always had time to listen, offer guidance, or simply sit with someone through difficult moments. She was also known for her honesty. Angela never hesitated to speak her mind, and her unfiltered authenticity was one of the many qualities that made her unforgettable.

Outside of her faith and family, Angela embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Her favorite hobbies were attending comic conventions, visiting antique and comic bookstores,

building her many collections, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, going to the movies with her grandson Roman, and attending concerts. She found joy in the simple moments and in sharing her passions with those she loved.

Angela's family finds comfort in knowing that her journey on earth has ended and her eternal one has begun. Her strength, resilience, faith, humor, and generous heart will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
