Obituary

Andrew Lee Fincher Sr., 66, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on January 28, 2022.  Andy is now at his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was born on July 29, 1955, in Houston, Texas to Fred Fincher Sr. and Alpha Jo Madden.

Andy attended J. Frank Dobie High school, but enjoyed working more, which ultimately lead him to begin his career in the family business.  Within the 50+ years as an entrepreneur in the automotive industry, hard work, integrity, and an honest handshake allowed him to not only be successful in many business endeavors but also gave him lifelong friends that he always cherished.

Family meant everything to Andy, which began with four wonderful kids from his first wife.  In 1983 he met his current wife, Dixie, and instantly fell in love.  After marrying each other in 1986, they decided to further grow their family with three more wonderful kids, making their family complete.  Raising all seven kids in the Spring and Magnolia areas, Andy absolutely adored his family!  He loved nothing more than spending time with them, whether it be playing volleyball, fishing, being on the water, eating, or just laughing. Andy so loved Jesus!  He read and studied the Bible daily and would use any opportunity he had to spread the gospel.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife Dixie; sons, Andrew Fincher Jr. and wife Sherry, Adam Fincher and wife Courtney, Elliott Fincher and wife Maegan, Watson Fincher and wife Selina; daughters, Amber McCall and husband Kevin, Autumn Griffin and husband Rudy, and daughter Ivy Fincher; fondly known as Popple to his grandchildren, Randy (wife Karly), Crystal, Sailor, Donovan, Brian, Mason, Avery, Emma, Cate, Bella, Brinkley, Marin, Collins, Reese, Matilda, and one on the way; great grandchildren, Johann, Alysa, and Vincent. He is also survived by brothers, Jay, Donald, Roger, Butch, and John, and sisters, Gale, Vicki, and Patricia. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Teresa, and brother, Brian.
