Obituary

Anastasia Voight, 75, of Houston, passed away after a brief illness on December 4, 2016 in Houston, TX.

She was born in 1941 in the Bronx, NY to Edna (Bergamini) and John Cullinane. She married Richard Voight in October 1959 and they raised three children.

She later graduated from Kent State University and began her career as a biology and advanced sciences teacher at Aldine and Eisenhower High Schools.

Since retirement, she volunteered for the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, the Houston Area Fiber Artists, and was an active member of several local arts and retired teachers groups. She dedicated much of her time to the friendships she formed through these groups and will be fondly remembered by many for her steadfast manner and sharp wit.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Gabrielle, former husband Richard Voight, and her brother John Cullinane.

Anastasia is survived by daughter Cindy Adams and her husband Darren, son Richard Voight, sister Deirdre Burke and her partner Randy Bayliss, grandchildren Shaun Adams and his wife Laura, Kristen Adams, and Meagan Voight, and Meagan's mother Sandra Voight. She is also survived by her beloved dog Maya.

A celebration honoring her life will be held on December 19th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts, 6815 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX. The family requests that donations in honor of her memory be sent to the Sierra Club, Meals on Wheels, or an animal welfare or arts charity of their choice.
