Amie Lynn Knapp , 50 , of T he Woodlands , Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 .
She was born on March 19, 1969 in Lafayette, Indiana , the daughter of Michael and Mary Knapp .

Amie was a graduate of Klein High School, and then attended Texas Woman ' s University where she received her Nursing, BS.  She loved being a nurse and decided to further her education by pursuing MSN - Family Practitioner from Maryville University.  She had a heart to help others and nursing was a perfect career for her.

Not only did she serve others in her job, she also took a year off work to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She did a one-year mission trip to Tanzania, Africa.  She was a missionary teacher in a small village.  She gave up all the comforts of home to serve the children, and she loved every minute of it.

Amie was adventurous.  She pursued her dream of flying and obtained her pilots license.  But she did not stop there, she then learned to do aerobatics.  She loved to be challenged.  Her other great love was horse back riding.  She was an accomplished dressage rider, and loved cross-country equestrian jumping.  She was able to travel to many places, and has friends all over the world.

She is preceded in death by he r grandparents, Roy and Jean Miceli and Jacqueline Griffin and Charles Knapp . Amie is survived by her lovin g mother, Mary Knapp and father, Michael Knapp ; siblings, Anita Moore and husband Jeff Moore ; Matthew Knapp and wife Elizabeth Knapp; and Jonathan Knapp and his wife Angela Knapp; and nieces and nephews: Amber Moore, Joseph Moore, Jacob Moore, Cooper Knapp, Meredith Knapp, Joshua Knapp, and Emily Knapp.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
