Amber Faith Dawson, 37, passed from this life on January 14, 2024 in Houston, TX. She was born to Michael and Kathryn Dawson on March 24, 1986 in Tulsa, OK.

Amber deeply loved her family. She had a keen memory of the birthdays of three generations of uncles, aunts, cousins and their children (along with every child star and celebrity she knew and loved). She completed High School in Aurora, Colorado, where she studied music and art. She played piano and guitar and once competed with her school's award-winning select women's choir in New York. She developed a love of sketching, creating hundreds of pieces that she loved to share with the world.

Amber had a deep, deep compassion for those who struggled with disabilities. She fell in love with the story of Helen Keller as a young child and became fascinated with sign language. She briefly studied sign language communication in college and was a lifelong friend of the deaf community. Amber was also an unrivaled animal lover and will be sorely missed by her dog, Nala (Munchkin), and her horse, Starlite (Boo Boo).

Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, sister Kimberly Dawson (Mike Tallman) of Pasadena, CA, uncles, aunts, cousins, and cherished friends from school, church and work who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Hugh and Marie Dawson of Colbert, OK; John and Emma Darrington of Tulsa, OK; Uncles John Henry Darrington III of Dallas, TX, and Harold Dawson of Oklahoma City, OK.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a celebration of life to immediately start at 11:00 am at Crossover Bible Fellowship, 12332 Perry Rd, Houston, TX 77070.
