Edna Amanda (Amy) Lee, known around town as "Baby Sister"and later as Sister, was born in Hernando, MS on March 5, 1935 to William (Dick) Joyner Lee and Mary Katherine Bennett. Amy graduated from Hernando High School where she had the lead in the Senior Play. She was the youngest of three children and had two younger half-brothers. Her siblings were Mary Katherine Lee and Richard (Dick) Joyner Lee, both deceased. Her half-brothers were Joseph Bradley Lee (deceased) and David Clifton Lauderdale. Amy attended the Hernando Baptist Church and joined and was baptized when she was 8 years old.

Amy attended Mississippi State College for Women her Freshman year and Mississippi College as a Sophomore.  In her Junior year, Amy went to live with her aunt and uncle in Murfresboro, TN where graduated from, Middle Tennessee University.  While there, she met her future husband, Jim Windsor, on a blind date. Her sons are James Alfred Windsor, Jr. (Nancy E. Neenan), Stephen Lee Windsor (died at birth), Stephen Richard Windsor (Deborah Antenucci) and Philip Lee Windsor. She has two granddaughters, Julie Windsor Brooks and Sarah Windsor Willard, and two great granddaughters, Lexi Elizabeth Brooks and Ellie James Brooks. Amy is survived by: 5 nieces and 4 nephews, 12 great nieces and 8 great nephews and two ggreat nieces.

When Amy was a junior in college, she met the love of her life, James A. WIndsor on a blind date. They dated from September 1955 to November 1956, when Jim was a Cadet Captain of "E" Company in ROTC. Amy and Jim became engaged in Aug of 1956 when Jim graduated from college. In the college year book, Jim asked Amy, 'Will you be my roommate next year.' Jim and Amy married on Nov 23, 1956 at the Hernando Baptist Church, Hernando, MS. On Nov 25, Amy returned to college to finish her 3 weeks and graduate, and Jim went to Ft. Benning, GA, to report for duty as a 2 ^nd LT. After the 3 weeks, Amy joined Jim at Ft. Benning where he was attending the Basic Officer Leadership Course.  Amy and Jim travelled to MA to visit Amy's sister, Kay and her family. Jim left for a 15 month tour of duty in Korea in July 1957. During this time, Amy returned to her home town of Hernando, MS and lived with her great aunt until Jim returned.

By this time, Amy was expecting their first child that was born on November 6, 1957. Jim returned from his tour of duty in Nov 1958 and Jim and Amy returned to Ft. Benning, GA where Jim was an Instructor at the Infantry School. Their second boy was born and died on Sep 14, 1959.  On Nov 3, 1960, Amy, Jim and Jim Jr. flew to Stuttgard, Germany, on an old Prop Plane, and then took a train to their new home in New Ulm, Germany. While in Germany, two more boys were added to their family – one on Nov 3, 1961 and another on Nov 21, 1962.

In May, 1963, Jim, Amy and the boys flew back to the US via South Carolina on a jet. After visiting their parents, they returned to Ft. Benning, SC where Jim was an Instructor at the Infantry School. In June 1966, Jim was sent to Viet Nam, and stationed with the 173 ^rd Airborne Brigade, while Amy and the boys stayed in Columbia, SC.

After visiting their parents, Jim was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY for about 5 months with the 101 ^st Airborne. Amy, Jim and the boys were then sent to Schofield Barracks, HA where Jim worked at Ft. Shafter, HA. In May 1969, Jim returned to Viet Nam where he was stationed as an Advisor to the Vietnamese for a year. Amy taught school in Hawaii while Jim was in Vietnam.

Amy and the boys accompanied Jim to the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, KS, until June 1971.  Amy, Jim and the boys were then stationed at Columbia, SC where Jim commanded a Basic Training Infantry Battalion along with other jobs.

In Jun 1975, Jim was transferred to Northern VA at the Military Personnel Center in Arlington, VA. Amy substituted as a teacher in Hayfield High School and eventually, Amy went to work for the Army at the Military Personnel Center.  Jim returned from Vietnam and Jim was transferred to work in the Pentagon as Personnel Director of the National Guard. While Living in Virginia, Amy and Jim and the two younger boys joined the First Baptist Church of Springfield, VA. ON the way to Virginia, they dropped Jim Jr off at Clemson University to begin his college career.

Jim retired from the Army in June 1, 1986 and he and Amy moved to Texas. They settled in Lakewood Forest in order to be closer to Jim Jr., Nancy, and the grandkids. Jim and Amy joined Lakewood UMC in 1994. Amy was very engaged with Lakewood UMC, served on various committees, operated a small café for Vacation Bible School, helped with the Garage Sale.
