Obituary

ALYCE ANN WAGNER

1936 – 2022

Alyce Ann Wagner (ne'e Moore) passed peacefully into eternal rest in Spring, Texas on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 following a long battle with vascular dementia. She was 86.

Alyce Ann was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on May 28, 1936 to Lemual Harry and Florence Claborn Moore. She was an honor student and a twirler in the Sapulpa Chieftains high school marching band and graduated in 1953.

Affectionately known as "AA" to friends, family, and loved ones, she was married to Howard Lewis Wagner, also of Sapulpa, for almost 70 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons: Roger (Peggy) of Tomball, Texas; Kevin (Karen) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and Scott (Melanie) of Tucson, Arizona. In addition to her loving husband and sons, AA is survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Florence Moore, and her in-laws Howard Lee and Virginia Wagner.

After previous homes in Tulsa, OK; Richardson, TX and Longview TX, Howard & Alyce Ann moved their family to the Champions Golf Club subdivision in NW Houston in 1969, and they have cherished the many friendships and memories they made there.

Howard & Alyce Ann have been members of Champions Forest Baptist Church for nearly 50 years, and Alyce Ann was a dedicated servant in the church's prayer room for many years. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life, and her big heart was evident in her selfless ways – always thinking of others before herself.

Her services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 am at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest, Spring, TX 77379. followed by a gathering of friends and family with light refreshments. A private family burial at Klein Memorial Park will follow.

The family wishes to gratefully thank the staff and caregivers at The Village of Gleannloch Farms of Spring, Texas, as well as Alyce Ann's personal caregivers over the past several years.

If you would like to honor Alyce Ann's memory with a charitable tribute, the family suggests that donations be made to non-profit organizations Boys and Girls Country of Harris County, TX (18806 Roberts Rd., Hockley, Texas 77447); or JoyRide Center of Magnolia, TX (29550 Tudor Way, Magnolia, Texas 77355).
