Alvin Ronald Beddingfield Sr., passed away July 1, 2016 in Spring. He was born on May 26, 1945 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to Fred Coston Beddingfield and Willa Staton. He attended East Henderson High School,  Berea at Kentucky and Western Carolina where he studied Marketing and Retail. He played basketball,  football,  baseball and was a star in track.

He married Lana Kay Eaves and was a manager in retail for 45 years. He was a huge sports fan (Go Tarheels, Dodgers and Redskins! ), an avid gun lover and enjoyed spending time with his family. He would spend hours piddling in the garage and loved to work in the yard.  He is survived by his loving wife Lana, daughter Lacey, son Alvin Jr. and wife Jassane, son Todd, brother Fred Beddingfield and wife Juanita, as well as other family members and friends.

He was a kind, caring husband and father that will truly be missed.
