Alvin Barrett, 82, of Houston, formerly of Hollywood, Maryland, passed away peacefully July 2nd, 2025 at St Joseph Hospital at Bryan TX.

Born January 14th, 1943 in Glen Falls, New York.  He was the son of the late Howard Allen and Helena Adele Barrett.  He was the husband of Bernadette Barrett, whom he married on May 5th, 1972.  He is survived by his son Joseph Barrett (Tina) of Franklin, TX and brother Charles Barrett of Oneida, NY, many nieces & nephews, grandchildren & great grand children.

He retired from Harris County Appraisal District in 2008.  He served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1965, he was stationed at Patuxent River, Maryland and served in Vietnam.

A mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on July 10th at St Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Spring, TX with Father Yu officiating.  Interment followed at Veterans Cemetery
