Alice Rose Parnell's Obituary
In loving memory of Alice Rose Parnell, the first child born to William and Bertie LeFils on August 7, 1931, in Arp, Texas. Alice went to be with the Lord Jesus on October 22, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dorothy LeFils. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Marion Parnell; four children, Brenda, Pamela, Darrell and his wife Pam, and Gary and his wife Ahn; her sister, Carolyn Hardie; five grandchildren, Cynthia, Jennifer, Daniel, Adam and Andy; and great-grandchildren, Preston, Cody and Joshua.
Alice graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1949. She married Carol Lenoir Burrows in 1950 and they had four children. After the children were older, Alice went to work for AT&T and retired in 1993. She married Marion "Junior" Parnell on August 9, 1974. Alice and Junior spent many years traveling in their fifth-wheel trailer and spending time with the grandchildren until her health failed. Junior was her primary caregiver the final year of her life.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Reliance Church Cemetery, Bryan, Texas.
