Obituary

Our beloved Father, Alfredo Eusebio Fuentes, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 2:15 am.

He was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on March 5, 1931. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his beloved grandmother Guadalupe who ensured he became an honest, hardworking and amazingly compassionate man. He was married to his soulmate Rosa Lilian with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. They raised 7 children and 14 grandchildren together.

He was an auto mechanic by trade who was widely respected by his bosses and coworkers alike. His path as a mechanic began when he was a teenager as he became an apprentice at a small body shop. He was dependable, honest, smart, trustworthy and an extremely hard worker that over the years he became head of the automotive division at Frenkel Co. in El Salvador. He worked hard every day, sometimes until the late hours into the night, to provide for his large family. He was a humble man with impeccable integrity and amazing strength which he demonstrated until the end.

Our Father was deeply devoted to his family and to his Catholic faith. He was known for his sense of humor, generosity and uncanny whistling ability. He always wanted to give everyone around him a "tip" or "dinerito" as he called it because he said it made people happy to receive it. He carried out this sweet gesture until the end as he tried unsuccessfully to tip his hospice nurse every time he came to see him.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Lilian; his 7 children, Ana Lidia Garcia, Alfredo Fuentes, Norma Guadalupe Menjivar, Carlos Ernesto Fuentes, Eduardo Enrique Fuentes, Oscar Armando Fuentes, and Rosario del Carmen Cline; His 14 grandchildren, Xochilt, Jaime, Eder, Karen, Carlos, Marcela, Luis, Maria Jose, Florci, Sandri, Spencer, Thomas, Jack and Matthew; His daughters and sons in law, Flor, Sandra, Carlos and Christopher.

He will be in our hearts forever!
